Документ A case of natural triploidy in European diploid green toad (Bufo viridis), with some distributional records of diploid and tetraploid toads(Russian Journal of Herpetology, 2007) Borkin, L.J.; Shabanov, D.A.; Brandler, O.V.; Kukushkin, O.V.; Litvinchuk, S.N.; Mazepa, G.A.; Rosanov, J.M.A triploid female (3n = 33) was found in diploid species Bufo viridis from the Crimea Peninsula, Ukraine. The case is recognized as an occasional autotriploidy. No morphological differences were found between this triploid female and other diploid specimens of the sample. Three categories of triploids in the Bufo viridis group are classified. Based on six green toad samples identified by chromosome number, the distribution of diploid and polyploid toads in Kazakhstan is discussed.Документ A remote sensing approach to assess algal beta-carotene content in solar salt evaporation ponds(ХНУ ім. An age-related increase of collagen content in both the skin and aorta and at the same time a decrease of elastin content were shown in these tissues. The content of hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulphates, heparan sulphate and dermatan sulphate increases in the skin with age. Contrarily, in the aorta, a decrease in concentrations of hyaluronic acid and dermatan sulphate takes place with age, while those of chondroitin sulphates and heparan sulphate increase. Algae of Desna river and its flood-land water bodies of Desniansko-Starogutsky National Nature Park(Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life sciences, 2011-05) Burova, O.; Zhezhera, M.Total of 354 species of algae were found, 21 taxa being rare for Ukraine, among them 11 are new for Ukrainian Polissia.Документ An annotated checklist of the urban flora of Kharkiv(V. Five species are belonged to doubtful records; 30 names are classified as dubious, confused, or of unclear application. The species are accompanied with the numbers of reference herbarium specimens, data on the earliest publishing for Ukraine, distribution in botanic- geographical districts (geobotanical regions) of Ukraine, and appropriate numbered literature references. Besides of upto-date nomenclature, the synonyms used in the quoted publications and herbarium labels are listed. Six species are recorded from Ukraine for the first time on the base of collections gathered by the authors. The new species and new finds for the geobotanical region (districts) are provided by brief information about locality, substratum, collector(s), and date of collection. Taxa are arranged according to the system accepted in the 9th edition of Ainsworth and Bisby's dictionary of the fungi . The checklist is supplemented by the floristic bibliography on aphyllophoroid fungi of Ukraine with titles in original languages and in English.Документ Annotated checklist of Hygrophoraceae (Agaricales, Basidiomycota) in Ukraine(ХНПУ імені Григорія Сковороди, 2021) Chvikov, V; Prylutskyi, OHygrophoraceae is a family within Agaricales, which comprises 26 genera and approximately 690 agaricoid species, including ectomycorrhizal, lichen-forming, bryophilous, humus and litter decomposing fungi. Some of these species especially those from genera Cuphophyllus, Hygrocybe, Neohygrocybe and Porpolomopsis are associated with natural grasslands and show extreme sensitivity to the presence of nitrogen-containing fertilizers in their substrate. This makes them indicative species of grasslands of high conservation value. While casual observations of Hygrophoraceae of Ukraine were incorporated in studies of agaricoid fungi as a whole, this family has never been in the focus of special research. Previously accumulated data on the diversity of Hygrophoraceae in Ukraine must be aggregated and revised. We have summarized all available data on the occurrences of Hygrophoraceae in Ukraine, including published papers, open databases, citizen science observations, and the previously unpublished original collection materials. Also, we provide an original description of the rare European species Haasiella venustissima (Fr.) Kotl. & Pouzar ex Chiaffi & Surault, which is reported for the first time from the territory of Ukraine. The resulting checklist of Hygrophoraceae of Ukraine includes 66 species. Leading genera are Hygrophorus (22 species), Hygrocybe (17) and Arrhenia (10); 5 species among them (Hygrocybe punicea, Hyrgocybe splendidissima, Neohygrocybe nitrata, Neohygrocybe ovina, Porpolomopsis calyptriformis) are threatened and according to “IUCN Red List” considered “Vulnerable”. The finds of 22 species in Ukraine were reported as doubtful. Carpathian Forests and LeftBank Forest-Steppe are the phytogeographic regions with the highest known diversity of Hygrophoraceae; however, this may be explained by the sampling bias. In spite of the long history of investigations and rather big amount of data, the checklist may be significantly updated by further surveys of grassland habitats, wider using of molecular identification methods, and by implementation of the best practices in biodiversity data management, e.g. photographing of fresh fruit bodies, digitization and databasing of observations.Документ Blennius macropterix Rüpp. в Черном море(Х. : Типогр. и литогр. The last four were described on the basis of materials collected by the 1990 research expedition (the 23rd cruise of R/V Professor Mesyatsev) of YugNIRO to the Kerguelen Islands area. The lately described C. normani Balushkin, 1996 is considered to be a junior synonym of C. panticapaei. In the present paper a new, the eighth species of genus Channichthys is described – C. mithridatis sp. n. – green icefish (on the basis of 29 specimens), collected in the same (R/V Professor Mesyatsev) cruise. The new species is closely related to C. irinae, but in the most differs from it by the uniserial gill-rakers, frequency distribution and greater number of spines in first dorsal fin, relatively smaller eye, large mouth and by traits of biology – C. mithridatis is piscivorous, while C. irinae is a typical zooplankton consumer.Документ Composition and characteristic of subadult water frogs sample (Pelophylax esculentus complex)(Daugavpils University, 2015) Biriuk, O.; Usova, O.; Meleshko, O.; Shabanov, D.Документ Conocybe Fayod and Pholiotina Fayod from the Kharkiv region, Ukraine: A critical revision(Львівський національний університет імені Івана Франка, 2020) Leshchenko, Yu.Документ Cosmospora stegonsporii sp. nov.(CBS Fungal Biodiversity Centre, 2008) Rossman, A.Y.; Farr, D.F.; Akulov, A.Yu.Документ Critical revision of Massaria specimens (Ascomycota, Fungi) collected on the Acer platanoides L. in Eastern Ukraine(Суми : ФОП Цьома С.П., 2021-05) Yakunkin, Ya.D.; Mieshkov, Ya.V.; Мєшков, Ярослав ВіталійовичДокумент Crossing experiments reveal gamete contribution into appearance of di-and triploid hybrid frogs in Pelophylax esculentus population systems(Chromosome Research, 2015) Dedukh, D.V.; Litvinchuk, S.N.; Rosanov, J.M.; Shabanov, D.A.; Krasikova, A.K.Speciation through hybridization is connected with appearance of interspecies hybrids which can survive and reproduce owing to changes in their gametogenesis. In animals, these changes lead to appearance of clonal animals, which for successful reproduction usually depend on parental species and lack of recombination during gamete formation. Polyploidization can resolve these problems and may lead to emergence of new species. Pelophylax esculentus complex (complex of European water frogs) represents one of the appropriate models for studying interspecies hybridization and processes of polyploidization. Hybrid nature of the P. esculentus (RL genotype, 2n=26) was confirmed after crossings of two parental species P. ridibundus (RR genotype, 2n=26) and P. lessonae (LL genotype, 2n=26). Nevertheless absence of one parental species (P. lessonae) and abundance of triploid hybrid frogs (RRL and LLR genotypes, 3n=39) in population systems at the East of Ukraine challenged us to understand how di- and triploid hybrids can appear and prosper in population systems where hybrids exist only with P. ridibundus (R-E type population system). To answer this question we performed cytogenetic analysis of tadpoles appeared after artificial crossing experiments of diploid and triploid hybrids. Moreover, we identified karyotypes transmitted in growing oocytes of females participated in the crossings. Genome composition of mature frogs and tadpoles was established using FISH revealing interstitial (TTAGGG)n repeat sites that differed in two parental species. After crossings of six triploid hybrid females with RRL genotype and one female with LLR genotype with diploid hybrid males and triploid hybrid males with RRL genotype, tadpoles with karyotypes corresponding to P. ridibundus karyotypeappeared.Lampbrushchromosomesobtainedfrom oocytes of all triploid females participated in the crossings were represented by 13 bivalents corresponding to P. ridibundus chromosomes. Analysis of lampbrush chromosomes from oocytes of additional 11 hybrid females with RRL genome composition also revealed oocytes with 13 bivalents corresponding to P. ridibundus chromosomes. We suppose that such oocytes can overcome meiosis and form haploid gametes withP. ridibundusgenome. After crossings oftwo pairs of diploid hybrids we obtained triploid tadpoles with RRL andLLRkaryotypes.Oocytesfromdiploidhybrid females participated in the crossing and four additional diploid hybrid females contained 26 bivalents corresponding to P. ridibundus and P. lessonae chromosomes.Suchoocytespresumablycanformdiploidgametes after meiotic division. One diploid female after crossing with P. ridibundus male produced both P. ridibundus and diploid P. esculentus tadpoles and had oocytes with 26 bivalents corresponding to P. ridibundus and P. lessonae chromosomes. Other six diploid hybrid females had oocytes with 13 bivalents corresponding to P. ridibundus chromosomes. Crossings of seven diploid males with P. ridibundus females or triploid females with RRL genome composition resulted in appearance of tadpoles with karyotypes corresponding to P. ridibundus karyotype. Thus diploid males most probably produced haploid gametes with P. ridibundus genome. We suggest that triploid hybrid frogs cannot reproduce independently from diploid hybrids. In studied population systems, diploid hybrid females are likely to be responsible for appearance of triploid hybrids as well as new diploid hybrids.Документ Cryptophyta разнотипных водоемов Левобережного Полесья (Украина)(Харьковский национальный университет им. European water frogs (Pelophylax esculentus complex) represent an appropriate model for studying interspecies hybridization, processes of hemiclonal inheritance and polyploidization. P. esculentus complex consists of two parental species, P. ridibundus (the lake frog) and P. lessonae (the pool frog), and their hybridogenetic hybrid – P. esculentus (the edible frog). Parental and hybrid frogs can reproduce syntopically and form hemiclonal population systems. For studying mechanisms underlying the maintenance of water frog population systems it is required to characterize the karyotypes transmitted in gametes of parental and different hybrid animals of both sexes. In order to obtain an instrument for characterization of oocyte karyotypes in hybrid female frogs, we constructed cytological maps of lampbrush chromosomes from oocytes of both parental species originating in Eastern Ukraine. We further identified certain molecular components of chromosomal marker structures and mapped coilin-rich spheres and granules, chromosome associated nucleoli and special loops accumulating splicing factors. We recorded the dissimilarities between P. ridibundus and P. lessonae lampbrush chromosomes in the length of orthologous chromosomes, number and location of marker structures and interstitial (TTAGGG) n–repeat sites as well as activity of nucleolus organizer. Satellite repeat RrS1 was mapped in centromere regions of lampbrush chromosomes of the both species. Additionally, we discovered transcripts of RrS1 repeat in oocytes of P. ridibundus and P. lessonae. Moreover, G-rich transcripts of telomere repeat were revealed in association with terminal regions of P. ridibundus and P. lessonae lampbrush chromosomes.Документ Dinophyta разнотипных водоемов Левобережного Полесья(Львівський національний університет ім.
