Унійна церква у Речі Посполитій: утворення та розвиток наприкінці XVI – на початку XVII століття

Abstract

Робота структурована за хронологічно-тематичним принципом та охоплює ключові етапи становлення унії між православною та католицькою церквами на українських і білоруських землях.та початкового розвитку Унійної церкви, зокрема в контексті Берестейської унії 1596 року. У першому розділі аналізуються передумови та причини виникнення Унійної церкви. Зокрема, увага зосереджується на релігійній, політичній та соціальній ситуації в Речі Посполитій, взаєминах між православною та католицькою церквами, а також на прагненнях частини православного духовенства до збереження своїх прав і впливу через зближення з Римом. Другий розділ присвячений подіям церковних соборів у Бересті 1596 року, на яких було ухвалено рішення про укладення унії. Висвітлюються основні позиції сторін – прибічників та противників унії, а також аналізується хід та наслідки цих соборів для церковного життя тогочасного суспільства. У третьому розділі розглядається початковий розвиток Унійної церкви після 1596 року. Йдеться про труднощі, з якими стикалися її ієрархи, спроби поширення унійної моделі церковного устрою, а також про опір з боку православного населення і частини шляхти. Четвертий розділ зосереджений на аналізі полемічної літератури, яка виникла як реакція на унію. Розглядаються основні автори, їхні твори та ідеї, що стали інструментом у боротьбі між прихильниками та противниками унійного руху. Полеміка відіграла значну роль у формуванні національної та релігійної свідомості українського суспільства. За результатами зроблено висновки, що передумови створення Унійної церкви мали комплексний характер. До укладення Берестейської унії призвели не лише релігійні чинники, але й політичні, соціальні та культурні. Паралельне проведення унійного та православного соборів свідчить про глибокий конфлікт і розкол в середовищі духовенства, який згодом поширився на все суспільство. Полемічна література стала важливим засобом ідеологічної боротьби. Вона не лише висвітлювала позиції сторін, а й вплинула на формування української релігійної та національної думки. Робота спрямована на глибше розуміння складних процесів, що супроводжували створення Унійної церкви, та її місця в історії українських земель.The work is structured according to the chronological and thematic principle and covers the key stages of the formation of the union between the Orthodox and Catholic churches in the Ukrainian and Belarusian lands. and the initial development of the Union Church, in particular in the context of the Brest Union of 1596. The first chapter analyzes the prerequisites and reasons for the emergence of the Union Church. In particular, attention is focused on the religious, political and social situation in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the relations between the Orthodox and Catholic churches, as well as the aspirations of a part of the Orthodox clergy to preserve their rights and influence through rapprochement with Rome. The second chapter is devoted to the events of the church councils in Brest in 1596, at which the decision to conclude the union was made. The main positions of the parties - supporters and opponents of the union - are highlighted, and the course and consequences of these councils for the church life of the society of that time are analyzed. The third chapter examines the initial development of the Union Church after 1596. It deals with the difficulties faced by its hierarchs, attempts to spread the union model of the church system, as well as resistance from the Orthodox population and part of the nobility. The fourth chapter focuses on the analysis of the polemical literature that arose as a reaction to the union. The main authors, their works and ideas that became a tool in the struggle between supporters and opponents of the union movement are considered. Polemics played a significant role in the formation of the national and religious consciousness of Ukrainian society. The results conclude that the prerequisites for the creation of the Union Church were complex. The conclusion of the Brest Union was led not only by religious factors, but also by political, social and cultural ones. The parallel holding of the Union and Orthodox councils indicates a deep conflict and split among the clergy, which later spread to the entire society. Polemic literature became an important means of ideological struggle. It not only highlighted the positions of the parties, but also influenced the formation of Ukrainian religious and national thought. The work is aimed at a deeper understanding of the complex processes that accompanied the creation of the Union Church and its place in the history of Ukrainian lands.
