Abstract

The novelty of the study lies in the fact that, for the first time, a holistic reconstruction of provincial life in the Ottoman Empire during its peak period (1453-1603) has been carried out, including an examination of the geographical features of the provinces, the ethnic and social stratification of the population, and the characteristics of economic activity in the regions.
