Святкування Дня Харківського університету: становлення та трансформація традиції (І805 –1980-ті рр.)

Abstract

Дослідження присвячено вивченню процесу становлення та розвитку традиції святкування Дня Харківського університету з 1804 р. до 1980-х рр. У висновку зазначено, що відзначення Дня Харківського університету мало свої особливості, які залежали від специфіки того чи іншого історичного періоду. У дорадянський час святкування Дня університету пройшло шлях від запозичення деяких європейських зразків чи певних елементів традиції університетських інавгурацій до створення власного формату відзначення свята. Занепад таких традицій відбувся у період реорганізації університетів в Україні. Втім, у подальшому відбулося відродження деяких форм, проте на перший план вийшли нові ідеологічні сенси, які відповідали радянській епосі. Поступово відбувався синтез первісних та модернізованих у радянський період форм відзначення Дня університету. Можна констатувати, що святкування Дня університету мало характерні (сталі) елементи, які існували і в дорадянський, і в радянський періоди, що й дозволяє казати про традицію. Зокрема, День університету у всі часи – це засіб продемонструвати свої досягнення як на науковій ниві, так і у культурній площині. Публічні промови, доповіді та лекції використовувалися саме з такою просвітницькою метою. Така спрямованість святкування Дня університету простежується протягом усього існування університету загалом. Виявлені особливості ритуалістики на різних етапах його історії дозволили зрозуміти зміни в університетській культурі та стан самого університету у різні епохи.The research is devoted to studying the process of formation and development of the tradition of celebrating the Day of Kharkiv University from 1804 to the 1980s. In conclusion, it is noted that the celebration of the Day of Kharkiv University had its own characteristics, which depended on the specifics of a particular historical period. In pre-Soviet times, the celebration of University Day went from borrowing some European designs or certain elements of the tradition of university inaugurations to creating its own format for celebrating the holiday. The decline of such traditions occurred during the reorganization of universities in Ukraine. However, in the future there was a revival of some forms, but new ideological meanings came to the fore, which corresponded to the Soviet Union times. Gradually there was a synthesis of original and modernized in the Soviet period forms of celebration of University Day. It can be stated that the celebration of the University Day had characteristic (permanent) elements that existed in both pre-Soviet and Soviet periods, which allows us to talk about tradition. In particular, University Day at all times is a means to demonstrate their achievements both in the scientific and in the cultural fields. Public speeches, reports and lectures were used for this educational purpose. This orientation of the celebration of University Day can be traced throughout the existence of the university as a whole. The revealed features of ritualism at different stages of its history allowed to understand the changes in the university culture and the state of the university itself in different epochs.
