Abstract
Brief information about Buglossoporus quercinus, a rare species of polyporoids, which is an indicator of old natural oak forests is given. The protection status and distribution of this species in Ukraine were analyzed. Information about a new locality of this species in the forest within the Kharkiv metropolis is provided.
