Abstract

У дипломі розглядається еволюція та зміни у ахейській військовій справі у добу бронзи. Автор приходить до висновку, що наступальна зброя та захисний обладунок піддавалися серйозним змінам, що вплинуло на зміни в тактиці бою. Бойові діє еволюціонували від дуелей і битв у невеликих групах на початку ахейської доби до міжгрупового бою з більш стандартизованою зброєю. В більш пізню добу лук і стріли та легкі метальні списи стають все популярнішими, одночасно збільшуючи відстань між бійцями. У той же час самі бійці зближуються, оскільки довжина мечів в цілому скорочується від рубаючих і колючих на відстані мечів типу A до рубаючих, колюче рубаючих на близькій відстані мечів типу C-G і, зрештою, мечів Naue II. Протягом всього часу головну роль грали колісниці. При цьому їхнє використання притерпіло певну еволюцію. Якщо спочатку це були «героїчні» поодинокі дуелі між найвиднішими аристократами, то пізніше використовували цілі армії колісниць, кількість яких доходила до кількох сотень. Наступальне та захисне озброєння ахейців було найрізноманітнішим. До його складу входили: списи, дротики, мечі, кинджали, бойові сокири та молоти, шлеми, щити, кіраси та різноманітний захисний обладунок.The thesis examines the evolution and changes in Achaean warfare during the Bronze Age. The author concludes that weapons and armor underwent major changes, which influenced changes in combat tactics. Combat actions evolved from duels and small-group battles in the early Achaean period to intergroup combat with more standardized weapons. In the later period, bows and arrows and light throwing spears became increasingly popular, simultaneously increasing the distance between fighters. At the same time, the fighters themselves became closer, as the length of swords generally decreased from the cutting and stabbing at a distance of the type A swords to the cutting, stabbing-cutting at close range of the type C-G swords and, finally, the Naue II swords. Throughout time, chariots played a major role. At the same time, their use underwent a certain evolution. If at first these were «heroic» single duels between the most prominent aristocrats, then later were used entire armies of chariots, numbering several hundred. The offensive and defensive weapons of the Achaeans were very diverse. They included: spears, darts, swords, daggers, battle axes and hammers, helmets, shields, cuirass and various protective armor.
