Міщани як соціальна група в Російській імперії (XIX – початок XX ст.)

Abstract

Мета роботи є вивчення законодавства, соціальних практик та статистика, що стосується групи населення «міщани» в Російській імперії XIX - початку ХХ століття. За результатами роботи були зроблені висновки щодо суперечливої історичної природи міщанства, та причин з яких його дослідження є ускладненим. Була аргументована необхідність не обмежувати критерії визначення міщанства лише становими кордонами. Був зроблений висновок, щодо того, що негативне оцінка міщанства не є безпідставною, але не є достатньою для повноцінного дослідження цієї групи. The aim of the work is the development of legislation, social practices and statistics, which exist among the petty townspeople population groups of the in the Russian Empire of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. Based on the results of the work, conclusions were drawn the controversial historical nature of petty townspeople, and the reasons why its study is complicated. Was reasoned the need not to limit the criteria for determining meshchanstvo only by estate boundaries. It was concluded that the negative assessment of meshchanstvo is not unfounded, but not sufficient for the full study of this group.
