The qualification thesis is devoted to an analysis of the émigré press as an instrument for disseminating ideology and managing the structures of the Ukrainian Hetmanist Movement (Union of Hetman Supporters of the State — UHS) in 1930–1940. The study covers the European and North American areas of Ukrainian émigré settlement during the specified period. Based on documents from the Sectoral State Archive of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the study examines press narratives concerning the justification of the monarchical doctrine, conservative values, the church question, and the militarization of propaganda in the late 1930s. The role of periodicals in overcoming internal divisions, coordinating financial funds, and facilitating interaction between the central leadership in Berlin and regional branches is analyzed. The thesis employs Social Network Analysis (SNA) methods to visualize and statistically analyze graphs of the émigré network. By constructing a connectivity graph, the topology of information flows is reconstructed, centrality metrics are calculated to determine the actual influence of specific actors (historical figures within the movement), and the scope of interaction between the organization and other political and religious circles in exile is outlined. The activities of Soviet state security agencies, namely the GPU/NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR, in monitoring the open Hetmanist press and infiltrating the movement’s publishing hubs through agents are examined on the basis of reports from the “Schwartz” source. The results of the study are relevant to further research on the history of Ukrainian emigration and interwar socio-political thought.
