Контроль як один із основних вимірів демократії

Abstract

Розглянуто поняття „контроль”, який разом із поняттями рівності і свободи складає тривимірну концепцію демократії. Аналізуються основні види контролю та цілі, яким слугують механізми контролю у сучасних демократіях. Висвітлюються основні проблеми, що виникають при вимірюванні демократії, які перш за все зумовлені визначенням рівнів і методів дослідження. Звертається увага на культурні та соціально-економічні фактори, які гіпотетично впливають на становлення та розвиток демократії.

The article concerns concepts of „control” which along with dimensions of freedom and equality forms three-dimensional concept of democracy. There were also analyzed the main types of control and objectives of control mechanisms in modern democracies. the main problems in the measurement of democracy, primarily due to the definition of levels and methods of research. Significant attention was paid to cultural and socio-economic factors that hypothetically affect formation and development of democracies.
