This teaching guide contains information about the academic English language; it is a separate component of the discipline "English for Specific Purposes". The manual provides information about the principles of publishing research results in English-language scientific periodicals and at scientific conferences; basic information about the academic English language, style, punctuation, and referencing. The information is illustrated by an example of a student research article. The manual also provides a glossary, a list of academic English phrases, and exercises to consolidate lexical and stylistic skills of academic writing. The structure of this manual allows choosing the optimal ways of organizing the student's guided independent work for effective learning of the material. For bachelor (7–8 semesters) and master (1–2 semesters) students of the School of Economics and the School of International Economic Relations and Tourism Business of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
