Abstract

Увагу археологів у басейні верхньої і середньої течії Сіверського Дінця більше 120 років привертають катакомбні та ямні інгумації носіїв салтівської культури. Вони є предметом жвавих дискусій з приводу їхньої етнічної належності. В результаті роботи з’ясувалося, що для населення лісостепу характерні катакомбні поховання з дромосом і камерою, розміри яких залежали від кількісної і майнового стану похованих. На сьогодні остаточно доведена аланська належність катакомбних інгумацій. Ямні поховання представлені кількома типами, в залежності від форми ям і типів трун. В цих похованнях дослідники виділяють риси угорського та тюркського поховальних обрядів.Catacomb and pit inhumations of the Saltovskaya culture bearers in the basin of the upper and middle reaches of the Seversky Donets have attracted the attention of archaeologists for more than 120 years. They are the subject of lively discussions about their ethnicity. As a result of the work, it turned out that the population of the forest-steppe is characterized by catacomb burials with a dromos and a chamber, the dimensions of which depended on the quantitative and property status of the buried. To date, the Alanian affiliation of the catacomb inhumations has been finally proven. Pit burials are represented by several types, depending on the shape of the pits and the types of coffins. In these burials, researchers identify features of the Hungarian and Turkic burial rites.
