The Sengoku period is a significant period of time in the history of Japan, which cannot be given an unequivocal assessment. On the one hand, it was a period of endless internal wars that ravaged the country, and on the other, a time of development in all spheres of society. At the same time, the period is characterized by the appearance of new political forces, which primarily became daimyo, small feudal lords who at the beginning of their historical path owned only small lands. However, one of the political forces of that time developed as an alternative vector of development. It was the Ikko-Ikki movement, which grew from a crowd of insurgents into a full-fledged religio-political community. Thus, the events of the Sengoku period are very dynamic and diverse, resulting in the formation of an independent and unique Japan and influencing the modern history of this country.
