The educational and methodological manual “Key Clinical Protocols and Recommendations in Internal Medicine: Current Reference Points” has been prepared to systematize the current regulatory documents of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, unified clinical protocols, evidence-based guidelines, and relevant international recommendations defining modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and follow-up care of patients with internal diseases. The manual is intended for physicians undergoing secondary medical specialization in Therapy, 5th—6th year medical students, and medical interns specializing in Internal Medicine. It includes the most relevant clinical protocols and guidelines covering the core areas of internal medicine, which are of practical importance for both specialist training and everyday medical practice. The materials have been updated in accordance with official sources from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and leading international professional societies as of 2026. A distinctive feature of the manual is its structured presentation of material in tables and the use of interactive hyperlinks to primary sources. This format facilitates the comprehension and systematization of clinical information, enables quick access to necessary data, and provides direct access to current regulatory documents and international guidelines. It allows for the prompt comparison of diagnostic and treatment algorithms, patient assessment criteria, indications, contraindications, and other key provisions of modern recommendations—making the manual highly convenient for both the educational process and quick reference in clinical practice. To consolidate the material, each section includes self-assessment questions, test tasks, and case-based clinical problems requiring extended answers. This structure supports not only the evaluation of theoretical knowledge but also the development of clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis skills, diagnostic justification, and the selection of optimal patient management tactics in accordance with current protocols and recommendations. The combination of reference material with self-assessment elements enhances the educational value of the manual, stimulates independent learning among students and trainees, and promotes the integration of theoretical knowledge into practical activity. Thus, the manual serves not only as a source of up-to-date professional information but also as an effective educational tool for classroom preparation, self-study, and professional development.
