dc.description.abstract | Sorochan S. B. Export of Grain from Chersonessus. Myths and Realities Having used all available written sources and the results of the archaeological researches the author tries to prove that the deep rooted approaches to the Roman period of Chersonesus in Tavricus as the leading grain exporting centre are not valid. Supplied quantitative calculations while being rather hypothetical testify to the fact that the town was able to provide itself with bread local but only in small quantities the profits of which coulcl not exceed the articles of Chersonesus export. | ru_RU |
