Funding Smart City Development

Abstract

The Master's thesis is devoted to the study of financing the development of Smart Cities in the context of modern urbanization challenges. The paper examines theoretical approaches to Smart City financing, analyzes global development trends, and studies the specifics of their implementation in China. Special attention is paid to the role of Big Data technologies and the integration of urban systems in improving the efficiency of city infrastructure management. The study analyzes the financing of Smart City development in China and determines the financial potential of their development using Beijing as an example. Based on the research results, recommendations for improving Smart City financing and increasing the efficiency of investment programs for urban development are proposed.
