Methodical recommendations contain information about assessment of physical development of child by methods of empiric formulas, methods of percentile range and standard sigma deviation. Disorders of physical development in children, such as hypotrophy, obesity, gigantism, and nanism are presented. Methodical recommendations are worked on the basis of the Program of discipline of «Propaedeutics of pediatrics» for students of higher medical educational institutions of III–IV levels of accreditation, authorized by Ministry of Health of Ukraine. These recommendations are intended for the 3th years English-speaking medical students.
