Оборона та охорона внутрішнього порядку у факторіях Генуезької Газарії (XIV–XV ст.)

Abstract

У роботі були виявлені основні причини загибелі Генуезької Газарії, а саме: низький рівень обороноздатності лігурійських колоній, неефективність правоохоронних сил у вирішенні їх внутрішніх проблем та поширення корупції всередині громіздкого бюрократичного апарату. Для цього було розглянуто та проаналізовано еволюцію фортечного будівництва, питання гарнізонів, поліції та суду найважливіших її міст – Кафи, Чембало та Солдайї. Зокрема з’ясувалося, що перше з них було підготовлено до османського вторгнення 1475 р. найгірше, і це закономірно спричинило її швидке захоплення. Згідно з цим, усталені в історіографії причини: грецьке повстання та зрада чиновників у Кафі, зайняли положення наслідків виявлених у дослідженні проблем.The work revealed the main reasons for the demise of the Genoese Gazaria, namely: the low level of defense capability of the Ligurian colonies, the ineffectiveness of law enforcement forces in solving their internal problems, and the spread of corruption within the cumbersome bureaucratic apparatus. For this purpose, the evolution of fortress construction, the issue of garrisons, police and court of its most important cities – Kafa, Chembalo and Soldaiya – were considered and analyzed. In particular, it turned out that the first of them was prepared for the Ottoman invasion in 1475 in the worst way, and this naturally caused its quick capture. According to this, the causes established in historiography: the Greek revolt and the betrayal of officials in Kafi, took the position of the consequences of the problems identified in the study.
