Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that although researchers (K. Leydecker, G. Pillau, F. Sutton) paid attention to a number of issues in the work of H. Tergit, her works and, in particular, the image of the urban space, remain largely unexplored. In particular, the question of the formative role of space within the "hybrid" genre of feuilleton and novel remains unsolved until the end. The purpose of our work is to investigate the spatial organization of H. Tergit's works as a chronicler of the socio-political reality of Berlin in the 1920s-30s and her individual artistic mapping of the city. This will allow a deeper understanding of the poetics of her works and will reveal new aspects of the artistic image of Berlin in the literature of the Weimar Republic. To achieve the defined goal, we set and solved the following tasks in stages: - consider the theoretical foundations of space in literature using the examples of the theories of Y. Lotman, M. Bakhtin and the concept of "spatial turn"; - to characterize the categories of analysis of artistic space (locus, posos and the theory of the third place) and their application in literary research.; - to analyze the place of the Berlin feuilletons of H. Tergit in the context of Weimar literature; - to form and analyze the features of the image of space in the works of H. Tergit. The object of the study is the collection of Berlin feuilletons by H. Tergit "Atem einer anderen Welt" (1994), the novel "Käsebier erobert den Kurfürstendamm". The subject of the study is the structural and substantive features of the image of space in the works of H. Tergit. Research methods: the research involves a complex approach using structuralsemiotic, hermeneutic methods and elements of the biographical method. With the help of structural and semiotics, the structural elements of the artistic space are highlighted. The hermeneutic method is applied to the interpretation of texts, artistic images and motifs. The use of the biographical method made it possible to establish the influence of the biographical factor on artistic texts. The work also used general scientific methods of description, analysis and synthesis, which made it possible to describe, analyze and systematize the regularities of the image of space in the writer's works. The research methodology is based on the works of domestic and foreign researchers of space as a formative element of the artistic world (G. Bashlyar, R. Oldenburg, Y. Lotman, M. Bakhtin), social and cultural dimension of space (A. Lefebvre, P. Nora, M. Foucault ), genre features of the feuilleton (S. Kurlyandska), the literature of the Weimar Republic (Y. Schebera, M. Humble, K. Leydecker), the work of H. Tergit (K. Leydecker, G. Pillau, F. Sutton). The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time we attempted a comprehensive analysis of the works of H. Tergit "Atem einer anderen Welt" and "Käsebier erobert den Kurfürstendamm"; structural and content features of feuilletons were identified and characterized; comparing the structural and content features of the textualization of space in the Berlin works of H.Tergit. The practical value of the research lies in the fact that our work is the first step towards a comprehensive analysis of the features of H.Tergit's works, which opens up the prospect of further research into German-language feuilletons and novels. Scope and structure of work. The work consists of an introduction, three sections with conclusions to each of them, general conclusions, a list of used sources. The volume of the main part of the work is 59 pages, the total volume of the work is 72 pages. The list of used scientific and reference literature is 54 items.
