Вплив війни на банківську систему України

Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізу впливу російсько-української війни на банківську систему України. Сьогодні в нашій країні йде війна, тому сутність статті полягає в тому, щоб дослідити особливості функціонування банківської системи в цей непростий час та запропонувати кроки для підтримання стабільності банківського сектору, що в свою чергу зменшить негативний вплив на фінансову систему. У статті визначено основні ризики з якими стикнулася банківська система під час війни, досліджено зміни в банківських операціях (роздрібному кредитуванні, іпотечному кредитуванні, валютних операціях), також досліджено зміну облікової ставки НБУ та наслідки цього кроку для депозитних та кредитних операцій та загальні зміни в правилах діяльності банків. Автором запропоновано кроки, які допоможуть удосконалити роботу банків в період військового стану та відновити економіку в післявоєнний період. Також розкрито роль НБУ як основного регулятора діяльності комерційних банків та обгрунтовано важливість дотримання вимог НБУ комерційними банками.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the banking system of Ukraine. Today, our country is fighting for its independence and freedom and confronting the enemy with dignity, so the topic covered in this article is very popular. Despite the fact that thanks to the quality regulation by the National Bank of Ukraine, the banks were ready to the war, there is no doubt that the rus sian invasion will have negative consequences for the entire economic system. Therefore, the essence of the article is to investigate the peculiarities of functioning of the banking system in this difficult time and propose steps to maintain a stable situation in the banking sector, which in turn will reduce the negative impact on the financial system. In the article, the author defined the main risks faced by the banking system during the war, investigated changes in banking operations (retail lending, mortgage lending, currency operations), also investigated the change in the discount rate of the National Bank of Ukraine and the consequences of this step for deposit and credit operations, identified the reason for the low demand of banks for domestic government loan bonds and general changes in the rules of bank activity. The role of the National Bank of Ukraine as the main regulator of the activities of commercial banks is also revealed. The author proposed steps that will help improve the work of banks during the martial law period and restore the economy in the post-war period. The banking system flexibly reacts to changes in the financial market. This testifies to its high level of development, the ability to work in crisis conditions and the ability to satisfy the population's demand for banking services even in such extremely difficult conditions that have arisen in our country since February 24. It is important for commercial banks to comply with the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine, to monitor their ac tivity indicators, to improve data protection systems in order to perform their functions without interruption in the conditions of martial law. As for further development prospects, today the main goal of the banks is to survive, and after the end of hostilities, the banks will be given time to resume their work.
