Ідеологічний аспект українського перекладу англійськомовної художньої прози

Abstract

Дисертація присвячена аналізу ідеологічного аспекту українського перекладу англійськомовної художньої прози за останні півсторіччя. За цей період у країні радикально змінилися умови соціально-політичного життя народу, відбувся перехід від радянського авторитарного режиму до розбудови вільного демократичного суспільства, що докорінно змінило й ідеологічні орієнтири громадян. Такі зміни природно знаменували відмінність в умовах перекладацької діяльності в аспекті впливу на неї суспільної ідеології та тиску цензури. Це обумовлює доцільність і важливість аналізу проявів впливу ідеології та цензури на українські переклади 1970–1980-х років і нашого часу із застосуванням засад культурного перекладознавства.The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the ideological aspect of Ukrainian translations of English-language fiction over the past half-century. During this period, the conditions of the nation‘s socio-political life changed radically; a transition took place from the Soviet authoritarian regime to the development of a free democratic society, which fundamentally altered the ideological orientations of citizens. Such changes naturally signaled a shift in the conditions of translation practice in terms of the influence of public ideology and the pressure of censorship. This underscores the relevance and importance of analyzing the manifestations of the influence of ideology and censorship on Ukrainian translations from the 1970s and 1980s and the present day, using the principles of cultural translation studies.
