Abstract

Psychoeducation is an important component 1of the prevention of mental disorders and the development of emotional competence. It includes informing students about the nature of stress, its biological and psychological mechanisms, as well as developing self-regulation skills that help reduce the negative impact of stressors. Research confirms that psychoeducation helps to improve adaptation to the educational process, reduces anxiety, and improves the overall quality of life of students. Studies show that it is useful both for first-year students facing the transition to independent living and for students in crisis situations. The systematic introduction of psychoeducation into university curricula can serve as an effective mechanism for promoting the mental health of young people.
