In recent years, the education system of Ukraine has undergone significant changes due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, and then due to a full-scale armed aggression by a neighboring terrorist state in 2022. The establishment of the quarantine and the introduction of martial law in the state caused significant challenges for various spheres of society, including for the educational sector of Ukraine. The transition to distance learning made it possible to resume the educational process at a certain level. At the same time, distance education makes certain demands on all participants of the educational process and requires the joint efforts of the state, teaching staff, students, pupils, and their parents. One of these requirements is the formation of digital literacy in all participants of the educational process: interaction based on the use of messengers, cloud services and educational platforms, mastering work on online platforms and interactive online services, means of group activity and communication, self-discipline and the ability to partially self-educate and so on. In this regard, the paper will consider the features of the transition to distance education, which are related to the insufficient level of digital literacy among the participants of the educational process.
